Bethesda announced today that they have worked with Sony to allow mods to come to PlayStation 4 after all. This announcement caused quite a bit of backlash in the gaming community, and it looks like that consumer dissatisfaction has been heard loud and clear. However, Bethesda indicated that they had run into some trouble on PlayStation 4 back in June, and last month they announced that Sony was blocking them from implementing mods on PlayStation 4. Bethesda games are well known for their active modding communities on PC, and they’ve been working to bring that experience to consoles as well, starting with mod support for Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
